A growing construction consultancy based in London is preparing to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager due to planned team growth and upcoming workload. This role would suit a bright, commercially minded individual who enjoys both cost management and project delivery, with the ability to work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

The successful candidate will be joining a well-regarded consultancy environment where teamwork, strong communication, and academic ability are highly valued. The role will support a varied portfolio of commercial construction projects, taking responsibility for both quantity surveying and project management duties from early feasibility stages through to completion. You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager will be involved in pre- and post-contract services, including:

  • Cost planning
  • Procurement
  • Tender documentation
  • Contract administration
  • Valuations
  • Change control
  • Reporting
  • Final accounts

Alongside this, the role will assist with project coordination, client updates, programme monitoring, design team meetings, and contractor management. This is a particularly strong opportunity for someone who enjoys commercial work and wants to develop within a professional, collaborative consultancy.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, or a related construction discipline
  • Prior experience within a construction consultancy or cost/project management consultancy
  • Commercial project experience, ideally across offices, mixed-use, fit-out, refurbishment, or similar sectors
  • Strong pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying knowledge
  • An interest in Project Management responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A bright, academic, team-focused approach
  • MRICS, APC progress, or a desire to work towards chartership would be advantageous
