A leading Westminster law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified (NQ) Solicitor to join its highly regarded Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor to develop their career within a respected boutique practice, advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and entrepreneurs on complex private wealth matters.
The successful NQ Solicitor will work alongside experienced Partners and Senior Associates on a broad range of private client matters, gaining exposure to sophisticated estate planning, trusts, tax and estate administration work. The role offers excellent training, early responsibility and long-term career development within a collaborative and supportive team.
The Private Client Solicitor’s RoleThe successful Private Client Solicitor will support clients across a broad range of private client matters, including:
- Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and related estate planning documents
- Advising clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and estate planning strategies
- Assisting with lifetime gifting and Deeds of Gift
- Supporting the creation, administration and variation of trusts
- Advising trustees on their duties, obligations and reporting requirements
- Preparing trust documentation, deeds of appointment and deeds of variation
- Assisting with probate applications and complex estate administration
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (NQ) or due to qualify imminently
- Completed a training contract with experience in Private Client law
- Strong academic background
- Genuine interest in Private Client work, including Wills, Trusts, Tax and Estates
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with clients
- A proactive, professional and collaborative approach
- STEP qualification or interest in working towards STEP would be advantageous
£50,000 to £60,000 salary
