This is a fantastic chance to take on a major site-based role within a respected and growing Cost Management team – working on a technically complex project with an MEP package worth over £150m.
The MEP Quantity Surveyor Role
The successful MEP Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the on-site commercial and project management teams, taking responsibility for managing and reporting on MEP costs throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll be involved in:
- Reviewing scopes and challenging costs to ensure value is achieved.
- Supporting contractor negotiations and agreeing provisional sums.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed cost reports and valuations.
- Managing change control and assisting with monthly financial reviews.
- Collaborating closely with a wider team of MEP Cost Managers and Estimators based in the Oxford head office.

The MEP Quantity Surveyor – Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience in MEP Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their associated costs.
- Previous experience working for a contractor or consultancy.
- Confident in contractor negotiation, cost management, and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Bluebeam desirable.
