An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, multidisciplinary consultancy delivering one of Oxford’s most high-profile developments.

This is a fantastic chance to take on a major site-based role within a respected and growing Cost Management team – working on a technically complex project with an MEP package worth over £150m.

The MEP Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful MEP Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the on-site commercial and project management teams, taking responsibility for managing and reporting on MEP costs throughout the project lifecycle.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Reviewing scopes and challenging costs to ensure value is achieved.
  • Supporting contractor negotiations and agreeing provisional sums.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed cost reports and valuations.
  • Managing change control and assisting with monthly financial reviews.
  • Collaborating closely with a wider team of MEP Cost Managers and Estimators based in the Oxford head office.

The MEP Quantity Surveyor – Requirements

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • 5+ years’ experience in MEP Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their associated costs.
  • Previous experience working for a contractor or consultancy.
  • Confident in contractor negotiation, cost management, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Bluebeam desirable.
