A leading construction consultancy in Manchester is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of industrial and logistics projects across the North West. This Project Manager role would suit an ambitious, client-facing Project Manager with prior consultancy experience and exposure to industrial sheds, distribution centres, logistics hubs, warehousing, or large-scale commercial schemes.
This Project Manager position is ideal for someone who is organised, commercially aware, and confident supporting projects through pre-construction, procurement, construction, and handover. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and internal cost management teams.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's roleThe Project Manager will support the delivery of industrial and distribution projects from inception through to completion, ensuring schemes are managed in line with programme, budget, quality, and client expectations.
The Project Manager will assist with project programmes, meeting coordination, design team management, procurement support, risk tracking, action management, contractor progress reviews, and client reporting. The Project Manager will also work alongside senior colleagues on larger schemes while taking ownership of key workstreams and smaller projects where appropriate.
The Project Manager will ideally have:- A degree in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline
- Previous experience working within a construction consultancy
- Experience supporting industrial sheds, distribution centres, logistics, warehousing, or large commercial projects
- Good knowledge of project programmes, procurement, reporting, and risk management
- Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement routes
- Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
- A proactive, professional, and team-focused approach
- APM, CIOB, RICS, or working towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
