The Facade Consultant's Role
The Facade Consultant will review architectural drawings, façade details, specifications, fire strategies, and external wall construction information. They will advise on cladding systems, insulation, cavity barriers, fire stopping, materials, buildability, and compliance with relevant UK guidance. The Facade Consultant will prepare technical reports, attend design team meetings, support site inspections, liaise with clients, and work closely with fire engineers, architects, contractors, and developers. The role will involve both new build and existing building projects, including façade assessments and remediation advice.
