One of the UK's leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancies are currently seeking a capable and detail-focused Stock Condition Surveyor to work across South East London, South West London, Haringey and Redbridge. My client is widely recognised for delivering projects that create positive social impact, particularly within residential and regeneration environments. Due to a strong and secure pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint a Stock Condition Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality surveying and asset information across a varied property portfolio.
The successful Stock Condition Surveyor will be responsible for undertaking detailed stock condition surveys across residential and commercial properties, assessing building condition, compliance and maintenance requirements. You will play a key role in collecting accurate asset data, producing professional reports and providing clear recommendations to support maintenance planning and long-term asset management strategies. The role is site-based with regular travel across the designated London areas.
Duties of the Stock Condition Surveyor include:
- Undertaking detailed stock condition surveys across residential and commercial properties
- Inspecting buildings to assess condition, defects and compliance with current standards
- Accurately recording survey data using surveying and asset management systems
- Preparing clear and professional reports with maintenance and repair recommendations
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal teams regarding survey findings
- Supporting asset management, maintenance planning and compliance programmes
- Working collaboratively with other construction and property professionals
- Managing site visits and maintaining high professional standards at all times
The successful Stock Condition Surveyor will be methodical, technically competent and confident working autonomously. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience undertaking stock condition surveys or property inspections
- Strong knowledge of building construction, standards and compliance requirements
- Experience using surveying tools, data capture and reporting systems
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Relevant qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- RICS or CIOB accreditation advantageous but not essential
- Proficient in property or survey software systems
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
