The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will join a forward-thinking consultancy with a strong track record of delivering cost, project, and development management services to a broad client base across both public and private sectors. As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of projects, supporting senior colleagues while taking ownership of specific packages. You will be involved in cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and change control, helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role offers great scope to progress for the Project Quantity Surveyor, with clear support towards chartership and opportunities to take on more senior responsibilities as experience grows.
Project Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Provide full pre and post contract Quantity Surveying services
- Prepare accurate cost plans, tender documents and procurement strategies
- Assist with contractor selection and lead tender evaluations
- Manage project budgets and monitor financial performance
- Administer contracts including variations and valuations
- Undertake value engineering exercises and advise on cost-saving opportunities
- Liaise closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related field
- Ideally working towards MRICS chartership
- Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment
- Good knowledge of procurement, cost planning, and contract administration
- Sector experience across industrial, commercial, or mixed-use schemes desirable
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Proactive and commercially aware
