Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Services & Funds Paralegal to join a specialist legal team advising clients across the financial services and investment management sectors.
The role will focus primarily on regulated funds, providing exposure to UK authorised funds and a range of regulatory and transactional matters. You will work closely with experienced lawyers, clients and regulators, gaining valuable experience within a highly regarded financial services practice.
This role would suit a paralegal looking to develop their career within financial services, funds or regulatory law, with strong opportunities to build technical knowledge and progress towards qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with all aspects of UK authorised funds, including establishment, changes, mergers and closures.
- Supporting ongoing fund-related queries and client matters.
- Preparing FCA applications and notification forms.
- Reviewing and processing amendments to fund documentation, particularly distribution agreements.
- Preparing investor circulars and related documentation.
- Liaising with clients and the FCA.
- Supporting fee earners with their day-to-day legal work.
- Conducting legal and factual research where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Assisting with wider administrative and legal tasks across the team.
About You
- Strong academic background, ideally with good A Level results and a minimum 2:1 degree.
- At least one year of previous paralegal experience within a law firm, asset manager or relevant professional environment would be desirable.
- Strong interest in financial services, funds and regulatory law.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
