A true SME, Built Environment consultancy with UK wide offices, are looking for multiple Fire Engineers at all levels, to join them in their Leeds office. This opportunity will offer the successful Fire Engineer the ability to work across the entire building lifecycle, from design to in-occupation services, you’ll be involved in a diverse range of fire safety challenges.

The Fire Engineer’s Role

As the chosen Fire Engineer you’ll work with a true variety of clients. You’ll have an exciting portfolio of properties including both private and public sector, residential, commercial and mixed-use to gain experience on.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparing fire strategy reports and working closely with stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Assisting clients with meeting requirements under relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, relevant secondary legislation, the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended) and the Fire Safety Order (as amended).
  • Carrying out analysis of fire risk and providing guidance on suitable control measures.
  • Supporting internal design teams as part of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Undertake regular communication with our Client’s team to co-ordinate programmes of inspections and remedial works.
  • Taking particulars on site, writing up schedules of works required and in association with others, prepare specifications, obtain estimates, plan programmes of work, monitor progress of works on site, checking compliance with the specification.

The Successful Fire Engineer Will Have?

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Fire Safety Engineering or related Engineering field
  • Member of the IFE – Ideally chartered or working towards chartership

Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of current Fire Safety Legislation including Building Regulations

In Return?

  • £60,000 – £80,000
  • Car allowance up to £4450 (Dependant on job level)
  • 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
