A well-established commercial law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its Harrow office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal looking to build a long-term career within a respected property team, supporting experienced solicitors across a broad range of commercial property transactions. The successful Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will gain exposure to acquisitions, asset management, landlord and tenant matters, development work and banking transactions, with occasional travel to the firm’s West End office when required.
The successful Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will join an established law firm with a strong reputation across commercial real estate, banking and finance, property development, property litigation, landlord and tenant, and private client work. The team offers hands-on mentoring, quality work and clear opportunities to develop towards qualification.
As the Commercial Real Estate Paralegal you will support fee earners on a varied caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion. The role will include:
- Drafting legal documents, reports and correspondence
- Assisting with commercial real estate transactions and due diligence
- Conducting Land Registry, Companies House and legal research
- Preparing and submitting Land Registry and SDLT applications
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders and third parties
- Managing file opening, compliance and AML procedures
- Preparing bills, completion statements and transaction documents
- Managing diaries, workflows and case management systems
- Supporting fee earners with general administration and document production
- Providing assistance across multiple teams when required
You will be a proactive and organised individual with a genuine interest in commercial property law. The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal must have:
- LLB or GDL/PGDL qualification
- At least one year’s paralegal experience within a law firm
- Commercial real estate, asset management or landlord and tenant experience would be advantageous
- Ambition to qualify as a Solicitor in the future
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Professional and client-focused approach with strong teamwork skills
In return, you will receive a salary of £25,000 – £32,000, high-quality commercial real estate work, direct mentoring from experienced property solicitors, exposure to acquisitions, development, landlord and tenant and asset management matters, ongoing training and career development, and genuine long-term progression opportunities.
