Job Description

The Company

A trusted provider of fire safety and risk management services, working with clients across the UK are seeking a level 4 fire risk assessor to support their team across England and Wales. As they continue to grow, they have secured a long-term housing association contract and are now looking to appoint a Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor to support delivery nationwide.

The Fire Risk Assessor Responsibilities

This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile contract covering housing stock across England, carrying out complex fire risk assessments, providing expert guidance, and helping clients ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.

You will work closely with housing association teams, residents, and other stakeholders, providing both technical assurance and practical advice. This position requires a professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage assessments across a diverse property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Level 4 Fire Risk Assessments across a wide range of housing, including blocks of flats, houses, high rises, sheltered accommodation
  • Produce clear, accurate, and compliant reports with recommendations for remedial actions.
  • Liaise with housing association teams and other stakeholders to deliver pragmatic fire safety advice.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety legislation, British Standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and mitigated.
  • Travel across England to carry out site-based assessments (travel expenses provided).

Requirements

  • Qualified to IFE Level 4 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments within housing, social housing, or residential settings.
  • Strong understanding of current fire safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and deliver to deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
