A privately owned construction consultancy in London is now seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their dedicated team of five. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor with a background in commercial, industrial, or logistics projects to contribute meaningfully in a smaller, close-knit environment.

This Chartered Building Surveyor will be an essential part of the team, managing a range of projects within the commercial, industrial, logistics, and retail sectors. The successful candidate will handle a full scope of surveying services, including technical due diligence (TDD), contract administration, development monitoring, and dilapidations, ensuring quality service delivery to an established client base.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting TDD, contract administration, development monitoring, and dilapidation surveys across various sectors.
  • Managing client relationships effectively and seeking opportunities to expand client networks.
  • Assisting with the supervision and professional growth of junior surveyors.

The ideal Building Surveyor will have:

  • MRICS qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • A degree accredited by RICS in a relevant field.
  • Strong experience within a construction-focused practice.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial projects and familiarity with the Building Safety Act.
  • Excellent client relationship skills, with an eye for expanding the firm’s client network.
