A leading national multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Regulations Consultant to join their team based out of one of their Midlands offices. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly respected consultancy, ensuring compliance across diverse projects while enjoying a strong work-life balance.
As a Building Regulations Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on Building Regulations and compliance, working across sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure. You will collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure regulatory compliance from planning through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert Building Regulations guidance across a range of projects.
- Review and assess technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and project teams to integrate compliance requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor regulatory adherence during construction.
- Stay updated on changes to Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical reports and recommendations to ensure best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the consultancy.
- Proven experience in Building Regulations compliance within the construction or consultancy sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Building Safety Act, and associated legislation.
- Background in architecture, building control, or a related technical field is desirable.
- Membership with RIBA, RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical guidance.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
