A highly respected and growing consultancy in London is seeking an Associate Cost Manager or Senior Cost Manager to join their established team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded Associate / Senior Cost Manager to take a leading role across high-profile residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments while shaping the direction of key client accounts.
The successful Associate / Senior Cost Manager will operate at the forefront of project delivery, providing strategic cost leadership from early feasibility through to completion. Working closely with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders, you will influence commercial decisions, guide junior colleagues, and play a meaningful part in the consultancy’s ongoing growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead full pre- and post-contract cost management services across multiple projects
- Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, tender documentation, and feasibility studies
- Oversee procurement strategies and guide tender evaluations
- Manage contract administration, change control, and commercial reporting
- Present commercial advice to clients and senior stakeholders
- Drive value engineering and risk management initiatives
- Mentor, support, and develop junior and intermediate team members
- Represent the business in client meetings, design workshops, and project reviews
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Chartered (MRICS) or with significant consultancy experience at Senior or Associate level
- Strong technical understanding of both pre- and post-contract processes
- Ability to lead projects independently and manage multiple commissions
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Commercially aware, strategic thinker, and confident in decision-making
- Experience working across sectors such as residential, commercial, or mixed-use
- Salary between £75,000 and £80,000
