A highly respected, independent cost consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-profile London schemes is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Central London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a client-facing Associate Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in delivering complex commercial, mixed-use and residential projects, while progressing within a forward-thinking and supportive business. The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will take ownership of key client accounts, lead project delivery across all stages, and oversee the performance and development of junior team members. This consultancy operates a non-hierarchical structure where every voice is valued, and their directors remain actively involved in project work. The incoming Associate Quantity Surveyor will enjoy a high level of autonomy, direct client contact, and the chance to influence the future direction of the business. With a diverse pipeline of large-scale developments across London and the Southeast, this role is best suited to a technically strong Associate Quantity Surveyor looking for more responsibility, visibility and progression in a collaborative, high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading full project delivery from feasibility through to final account
  • Managing key client relationships and contributing to business development
  • Mentoring and overseeing junior staff members
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, reports and procurement strategies
  • Administering JCT and NEC contracts and managing change control
  • Supporting bids, fee proposals, and strategic growth initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (RICS accredited)
  • MRICS status (or working towards)
  • Minimum of 6 years’ UK consultancy experience
  • Experience in large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments
  • Excellent communication, leadership and client-facing skills
  • Solid understanding of UK procurement routes and construction contracts

In Return:

  • Salary of £75,000 – £85,000 (depending on experience)
