A specialist, London-based construction consultancy is looking to appoint a talented Associate Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its senior team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to operate across a portfolio of high-end residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes, all delivered with a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction.
The Associate Quantity Surveyor will take on a pivotal position within the business, influencing both project delivery and client relationships. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the chance to contribute to the consultancy’s continued growth. The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit, highly regarded team with an impressive client base.
The Associate Quantity Surveyor’s role:
- Lead the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion.
- Take charge of procurement activities, including selecting and appointing contractors and consultants, as well as managing tender documentation and negotiations.
- Facilitate client and design team meetings, maintaining alignment on programme, cost, and quality.
- Take responsibility for contract administration duties, primarily under JCT, and act as Employer’s Agent where required, while also guiding and developing junior team members.
The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will bring:
- At least 7 years’ experience within a consultancy or client-side setting.
- A strong track record of delivering projects, leading procurement processes, and managing client relationships.
- A solid understanding of JCT contracts.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, with MRICS highly desirable.
- Confidence, commercial awareness, and comfort in taking the lead across both projects and people.
