Job Description
A well-established construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their Manchester office. The Assistant Project Manager will support projects across the education, commercial and residential sectors. Working as part of a close-knit delivery team, the Assistant Project Manager will gain hands-on project experience from day one.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to work on varied schemes with structured APC support and long-term career development. To be successful in this role, the Assistant Project Manager must have prior consultancy experience.
The Assistant Project Manager's role
The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of schemes up to £30m and will be involved in:
- Preparing project documentation and client reports
- Programme monitoring and site coordination
- Assisting with consultant and contractor engagement
- Supporting cost and risk management activities
- JCT contract administration tasks
- Attending project meetings and capturing minutes
- Coordinating design team progress and updates
The Assistant Project Manager
- 1-3 years' experience in a consultancy project management role
- BSc/MSc in a construction-related discipline
- Working towards MRICS or MAPM
- Enthusiastic and professional in client-facing environments
- Good understanding of project processes and design stages
- Keen to develop in a multi-sector role
