The successful

Fire Engineer will work across residential, commercial, healthcare, heritage and sports developments, delivering both code-compliant and performance-based fire engineering solutions.

The Role

  • Develop fire strategies across a diverse range of secto+

  • Produce technical reports outlining design assumptions, methodologies and recommendations
  • Undertake site inspections and support computational modelling where required
  • Manage their own projects, deadlines, budgets and financial performance
  • Work closely with experienced Fire Engineers and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend client, design and internal project meetings
  • Research emerging technologies, legislation and fire engineering developments
  • Support graduate and junior engineers with their technical development
  • Contribute to technical research, articles and industry publications as experience develops

Fire Engineer should ideally have

  • BSc, BEng or higher in Fire Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' fire engineering experience
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • AIFire E membership would be advantageous
  • Experience with Bluebeam or similar software would be beneficial
  • A desire to work towards Chartered Engineer status
