A specialist fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor at Tier 2 or Tier 3 level to join their growing team. This opportunity would suit a technically strong Fire Risk Assessor who is confident working independently, producing high-quality reports and dealing directly with clients and duty holders. The Fire Risk Assessor's Role
- Undertake detailed fire risk assessments across a varied UK portfolio
- Work independently on site and manage assessments from survey through to final report
- Produce clear, technically robust fire risk assessment reports
- Identify fire safety risks, deficiencies and appropriate remedial actions
- Advise clients and duty holders on fire safety legislation and best practice
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide a professional consultancy service
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, guidance and industry standards
- Travel regularly to client sites across the UK
The Fire Risk Assessor
- Around 5 years' experience within fire safety consultancy, compliance or risk management
- Tier 3 fire risk assessment capability
- Tier 3 status with IFSM, progression towards Tier 3, or inclusion on the IFE Fire Risk Assessors Register
- NEBOSH Fire, NEBOSH Health & Safety or an equivalent qualification
- Membership of IOSH, IFE or IFSM
- Strong technical knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- A professional, client-facing approach
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
