A specialist project management consultancy in Bristol is looking for a Project Manager with healthcare experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to deliver complex healthcare schemes while working closely with public sector clients, consultants, contractors, and clinical stakeholders.

The Project Manager will manage healthcare projects from inception through to completion, taking responsibility for programme, risk, reporting, and multidisciplinary coordination. This Project Manager role would suit a confident Project Manager who understands the challenges of delivering projects within healthcare and live operational environments. The successful Project Manager will have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to balance construction requirements with the needs of clients and building users.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will lead healthcare projects across Bristol and the wider South West through pre-contract and delivery stages.

The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

The Project Manager will chair meetings, monitor project progress, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with contractors and client representatives. Projects may be delivered within live healthcare environments, requiring careful management of phasing, access, programme, and disruption.

The Project Manager will provide clear professional advice throughout the project lifecycle and ensure commissions are delivered to the required programme, budget, and quality standards.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • Prior project management experience within a construction consultancy
  • Previous healthcare project experience
  • Experience working on NHS, hospital, clinical, or similar healthcare environments would be beneficial
  • Experience delivering projects through pre-contract and construction stages
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
  • MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
  • Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
  • Strong stakeholder and multidisciplinary team management skills
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and organisational abilities
