Join Our Team as a Strategic Account Manager at Brandon Hire Station. Brandon Hire Station, part of the Vp plc group, is one of the UK’s leading tool and equipment hire specialists. With a nationwide network of branches and a strong reputation for service excellence, we support customers across construction, infrastructure, facilities management and industrial sectors. We’re now looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of mid-to-large regional strategic accounts, driving revenue, margin and long-term partnerships. This is a field-based role covering our South West regional territory and reporting to the Regional Sales Director.
Your role will combine new business generation with long-term strategic relationship management, offering tailored solutions and acting as a trusted partner to customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and secure new regional strategic accounts through proactive prospecting, networking and market intelligence.
- Develop and execute structured account growth plans to maximise share of wallet.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-to-large regional customers.
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers at multiple levels.
- Work closely with regional operations and branch teams to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Act as the local lead where geographical strategic support is required to drive sales and pipeline opportunities.
- Lead regular account review meetings, discussing performance, mutual goals, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity relevant to your region.
- Act as the voice of the customer, feeding back insights on product performance and customer needs to support future service and product development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for all accounts.
- Proven track record in regional account management or strategic sales.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident negotiator with experience managing contracts and pricing.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute regional growth plans.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results driven.
- Experience within construction services, tool hire or equipment rental.
- Drive regional revenue growth across strategic accounts.
