We are looking for developing Research Managers to join our EU team – is this the company and role for you?

The role involves passionate researchers central to the effective management and delivery of insights programmes for Pharma. You will work with clients, often integrated with our Consulting business, to answer critical questions about products designed to help and treat patients. Pharmaceutical Industry experience is therefore desired, with proven ability to lead project work and supporting teams essential to the role.

You will work collaboratively with your global colleagues to bring together all aspects of projects, from design to fieldwork services to creating and delivering presentations to clients. You will have opportunities to work across all therapy areas or to explore your passion topics, for example, behavioural science and patient centricity, in more depth within our Centres of Excellence.

You will be working alongside experienced Directors to provide you with support and training to continue to enhance your career and skills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make an impact on patient lives, work on global projects and learn from industry leaders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day running of studies (with the support of Associate Directors or Research Directors) – spanning both qualitative and quantitative programmes.
  • Taking ownership for supporting team members in the coordination and execution of fieldwork processes.
  • Creating research materials and presentation content, including delivery of presentations onsite with clients.
  • Proactivity in seeking ways to manage and improve project and operational quality, efficiency and profitability.
  • Showing excellence in fieldwork, including one-to-one interviewing skills with research respondents via web-assisted, telephone and face-to-face approaches.
  • Developing group moderating skills, including probing techniques, and using a range of exploratory and projective techniques.
  • Building relationships with the clients on existing studies, so that you are seen as a trusted advisor, providing solid methodology and analysis recommendations (with the support of the Director for the study) identifying critical insight that drives change.
  • Having a clear understanding of clients’ needs, issues and concerns, and implementing these across research projects.
  • Taking ownership of supporting the preparation of proposals, including methodology and value sections.
  • Contributing to the follow-up process after meetings with clients e.g. writing up meeting outputs, arranging further meetings, writing and submitting proposals.
  • When opportunity presents, growing new business with existing clients.

Essential skills/experience:

  • Experience in a market research role within the pharma space.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience of developing client relationships through project delivery.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
