We are now seeking a Marketing & Growth Strategist to play a pivotal role in our next phase of growth. This is a senior, commercially focused role spanning these core areas:
- Driving Garden's growth through new business, partnerships and market presence
- Supporting and shaping client growth strategies, ensuring Garden is seen as a longâterm strategic partner
- Self starting, home working, with KPIs
You will be instrumental in helping Garden scale to ÂŁ3m turnover, improving profitability, and building a robust, highâquality pipelineâwithout compromising the intelligence, craft or culture that defines the studio.
New Business & Growth
You will own and lead Garden's growth agenda.
- Identify, target and secure new business aligned with Garden's positioning and growth strategy
- Conduct structured research to identify priority brands, sectors, founders and decisionâmakers
- Develop and refine Garden's value proposition, messaging and points of differentiation
- Plan and execute a considered content, outreach and engagement strategy in collaboration with the studio
- Manage and qualify inbound enquiries, nurturing prospects alongside the Partners
- Independently secure new client projects up to ÂŁ100k; collaborate with Partners on opportunities above this level
- Contribute to and help lead compelling new business pitches focused on longâterm partnerships, not shortâterm wins
- Build and deliver a goâtoâmarket strategy that supports a ÂŁ3m revenue pipeline
Leadership & Agency Impact
You will help set the tone for how Garden works.
- Identify client challenges where Garden can add meaningful strategic value
- Contribute to agencyâwide growth planning and future positioning
- Actively support and strengthen Garden's culture
Purpose of the Role
Your key objectives are to:
- Drive measurable revenue growth through new business and account expansion
- Strengthen Garden's market presence and reputation
- Play a meaningful role in shaping the future of Garden
Potential & Progression
This is a genuinely influential role with clear progression as Garden grows. As turnover and profitability increase, there is scope for expanded responsibility, leadership, and enhanced reward. We are looking for someone who wants to build something, not simply manage it.
Skills & Experience
You will demonstrate:
- Strong experience in marketing strategy and new business development
- A proven ability to win, grow and retain highâvalue client relationships
- Commercial awareness and confidence discussing fees, scope and value
- Strategic thinking combined with practical delivery
- Leadership presence, emotional intelligence and clarity of communication
- A genuine interest in brands, culture and longâterm value creation
- An ability to build Garden's reputation via exposure of our work, building reputation and exposure via internal PR (awards, talks, opinion etc from the leadership team)
- Ability to build an effective pitch list potential
- Ability to create sector targeted campaigns (assets supplied by team) with budget allocated for media spend.
Why Garden?
Garden is deliberately small, senior and highly dynamic. We are not a network agency, and we are not trying to be one. What we offer instead is a DavidâversusâGoliath opportunity: the chance to help scale a consultancy that regularly outthinks, outmanoeuvres and outperforms much larger agenciesâbecause we are sharper, closer to the work, and deeply invested in outcomes.
Our portfolio spans multiple industries and categories, from FMCG and beauty to hospitality, retail, telecoms, fashion and emerging brands. We work globally, with clients across the UK, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia, bringing genuine cultural sensitivity and market understanding to everything we do. This isnât surfaceâlevel "international experience"; itâs handsâon, lived, and strategically embedded in our work.
Garden's strength lies in its depth: Strategy, design and delivery under one roof. A team that is highly knowledgeable, fastâmoving and responsive. Direct access to decisionâmakers, Partners and clientsâno layers, no politics.
For the right person, this role offers something rare: real influence, real ownership, and real reward in shaping the next phase of a respected, ambitious consultancyâwithout the inertia, bureaucracy or ego of bigger agencies. If youâre motivated by building value, not just managing process, Garden gives you the space to do exactly that.
