Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service & Maintenance Engineer (Residential). We work Monday to Friday. No call‑out rota, no weekends, no being on the back foot waiting for the phone to ring on a Sunday. If you're an experienced AC engineer who's done your time on out‑of‑hours rotas and unpredictable weeks, this is a role built specifically without one.
You'll be servicing and maintaining air conditioning systems in residential and heritage properties across London and the South East – including our internal water‑cooled systems and patented Incognito and Discreet systems, not just the same split units every other engineer on the road is fixing. It's a different technical problem from standard commercial AC work, and one most engineers haven't had the chance to specialise in.
What you get:
- Company van, fuel card, and tools
- Results‑based bonus
- Manufacturer and industry training
- Paid holiday and Bank Holidays
Salary & hours:
- £50,000 – £55,000 basic salary, depending on experience
- Realistic OTE £60,000 – £65,000 with overtime and performance bonus
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
- No call‑out rota
- Full‑time, permanent, PAYE
What you’ll be doing:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on residential air conditioning systems
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on split, multi‑split, and our internal water‑cooled systems
- Completing service reports and compliance documentation (F‑Gas)
- Working professionally and considerately in occupied residential properties – these are people's homes, not plant rooms
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential air conditioning
- Experience servicing split and multi‑split systems
- Strong fault‑finding ability and a solid understanding of refrigeration cycles
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own diary
- Good communication skills – you're representing us in someone's home
- F‑Gas Category 1 certified
- Full UK driving licence
- Physically fit for work
- Based within easy reach of our Chatham (ME4) office – you'll occasionally need to call in to collect parts
- Installation experience is a plus, not a requirement
