We are working with a well-established, values-led organisation based in Suffolk that is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering integrated marketing activity across a portfolio of consumer and service-led businesses. You’ll translate business priorities into compelling marketing campaigns that drive commercial performance, strengthen brand reputation and build deeper relationships with customers and members. Based near Ipswich, this role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to make a real impact within a purpose-driven organisation. Ideally, you will have experience in a multi-site bricks and mortar retail, hospitality or leisure environment - although if you don't tick all of these boxes a can-do attitude and relevant transferable experience will go a long way!
Key responsibilities – Marketing Manager
- Campaign planning and delivery
- Plan, develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, in-store, print, social, email, web, events and partnerships.
- Own campaign calendars, ensuring activity is prioritised, sequenced and aligned to trading cycles and business objectives.
- Adapt campaigns to suit different business areas while maintaining a consistent overarching brand.
- Commercial performance and reporting
- Ensure marketing activity delivers measurable impact against KPIs including sales growth, footfall, acquisition, retention and engagement.
- Track, analyse and evaluate campaign performance, using insight to optimise future activity.
- Produce clear, concise reporting that translates data into actionable recommendations.
- Stakeholder collaboration
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across retail, services, membership and central teams.
- Act as a trusted marketing advisor, constructively challenging briefs to ensure activity is customer-focused and commercially sound.
- Work effectively with external agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality output.
- Brand and creative stewardship
- Champion brand guidelines, tone of voice and co-operative values across all marketing activity.
- Brief and manage creative development to ensure work is engaging, accessible and on brand.
- Identify opportunities to build brand awareness and reputation.
- Continuous improvement
- Keep up to date with marketing trends, emerging channels and best practice.
- Test new ideas and approaches to improve effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Proactively identify ways marketing can better support wider business ambitions.
Your background – Marketing Manager
- Proven experience planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns in a multi-channel environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to link marketing activity to tangible business outcomes.
- Experience using customer, market and performance insight to inform decisions.
- Confident managing multiple priorities and delivering to deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at different levels.
- Experience using CRM, email marketing platforms, social media tools and CMS.
- Comfortable working with data, analytics and reporting tools.
- Full UK driving licence.
Experience within complex or multi-sector organisations, membership or loyalty marketing or holding a CIM qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
