This is a pivotal leadership role with full accountability for the organisation’s online presence, search visibility, digital engagement, and demand generation across all routes to market.

You will shape and optimise the entire digital journey, from initial discovery through to customer engagement, ensuring digital activity effectively supports and strengthens relationships with UK stockists, trade partners, and ecommerce channels. Working closely with senior leadership, sales, product and Brand & Marketing teams, you will translate commercial objectives into a clear and effective digital marketing plan with defined timelines, KPIs and measurable outcomes.

A key focus of the role will be owning and driving SEO strategy and organic growth, adapting to evolving search behaviour, including algorithm changes and the increasing influence of AI-led search and discovery. You will oversee the development and continuous improvement of the company’s website, customer portal and wider digital platforms, ensuring an intuitive, conversion-led user experience.

You will also play a key role in aligning digital activity with product launches, supporting the successful introduction and optimisation of new and existing ranges across digital channels. The role will involve managing and coordinating external agencies, developers and digital partners, ensuring delivery is aligned with business objectives, timelines and brand standards.

You will champion innovation within digital marketing, including the practical application of AI to enhance performance, efficiency and customer experience, as well as supporting the future development of new digital capabilities such as app-based platforms.

A key element of the role will involve monitoring, analysing and reporting on digital performance, using data and search insight to identify growth opportunities and clearly demonstrate return on investment. You will be responsible for driving measurable improvements across key metrics including organic traffic, engagement, dwell time, enquiries, portal usage, app adoption and social media performance.

Due to the location of the Cambridgeshire based office, this role is commutable from Cambridge, Ely, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Downham Market, Chatteris, Huntingdon, St Neots and March. The role is largely office based, although there is a hybrid element.
