We’re different by design — built to move seamlessly from idea to impact. As we expand with a presence in London, we are building a small, senior team to shape the next chapter of Brand New School globally.
Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Brand Strategist for our London studio with a strong understanding of brand design and the ability to build clear, scalable brand systems and visual languages. This is a hands-on role for an experienced strategist with brand-building and social expertise, driven by insight and conviction. You will work closely with Design Directors, the ECD, and extended creative teams, building strategies that anchor distinctive, flexible brand expressions. Working across multiple projects at once, you’ll create roadmaps for brand systems that operate seamlessly across static, motion, and digital environments. As part of a small London team, you’ll help set the standard for strategic quality and how brand work is made. The role suits someone who is globally minded, design-literate, and motivated by creating meaningful cultural connections.
Role Craft
- Create and shape original strategic platforms that are clear, compelling, and culturally aware.
- Translate research, cultural insight, and client objectives into focused, scalable brand territories.
- Develop sharp points of view that guide creative expression across systems and deliverables.
- Maintain a high bar for clarity, coherence, and craft across all strategic output.
- Ability to plan, build, and run collaborative client workshops, synthesising stakeholder input and research into strategic platforms that guide design.
Delivery and Collaboration
- Lead strategy across multiple projects from brief to delivery, balancing rigor, pace, and detail.
- Partner with Design Directors, ECDs, and creative teams to develop strategy that informs creative expression and defines a distinctive position.
- Build and deliver persuasive presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Respond to feedback constructively, iterating with intent and focus.
Ways of Working
- Work in an organised, proactive way, maintaining momentum with minimal oversight.
- Embrace new tools, methods, and approaches to collaboration and world-building.
- Contribute positively to studio culture through curiosity, openness, and care for the work.
- Draw insight from beyond the branding and creative industries, bringing fresh perspectives into the studio and its work.
Experience
- Experience working in design studios or agencies on brand identities and systems.
- Strong grounding in core brand strategy disciplines (e.g. positioning, architecture, and purpose).
- Proven ability to contribute to and strategically influence multiple workstreams across all phases of a project.
- Comfortable owning and progressing work independently.
- Experience collaborating across disciplines, including design, motion, and technology, and with external stakeholders.
Skills
- Ability to connect business context, cultural insight, and ambiguity into clear brand implications.
- Expert storyteller, crafting compelling narratives and copy that bring strategy to life.
- Strong ability to create focus and clarity within complex or undefined scenarios.
- Confident using tools such as Figma/FigJam, Pitch, Notion, and Google Workspace.
