We are looking for someone who is excited to merchandise some of the most loved Nestlé brands and help bring cool treats to life across Canada’s Mass & Grocery Retailers this summer! We are currently hiring Summer Merchandising Associates to support Nestlé’s seasonal Ice Cream Merchandising Program. This entry‑level contract role offers hands‑on experience in retail execution, sales support, and visual merchandising—perfect for anyone looking to build their career in the CPG industry with one of the world’s most recognized brands.
You will work closely with store staff, drive product visibility, and make sure Nestlé’s ice cream and beverage brands are looking their best and flying off the shelves during the summer rush.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis is a seasonal position ideal for students or early‑career professionals eager to grow in merchandising, marketing, or sales. You’ll be responsible for:
- Visiting a minimum of 4 stores per day, from Friday to Monday, each visit lasting up to 90 minutes
- Merchandising and restocking Nestlé products—especially ice cream—by moving inventory from store freezers and backrooms to the selling floor
- Building and maintaining eye‑catching displays in high‑traffic locations
- Ensuring shelves are always stocked, clean, and aligned with brand standards
- Collaborating with store teams to improve product placement and resolve inventory issues
- Capturing visit reports, photos, and store insights using a mobile app, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting
- Supporting regional sales initiatives with strong field presence and valuable feedback
Program Duration: Until end of August
Hours: 24 hours per week
Location: Guelph / Cambridge / Brandtford
Schedule: Friday to Sunday
Call Volume: Minimum 4 store visits/day
Time per Call: Approx. 90 minutes (flexibility during peak demand)
Salary: from $18/hr
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed post‑secondary education
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Comfortable working independently with strong time management skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 15 lbs and working in cold environments (e.g., store freezers)
- Friendly, outgoing, and passionate about in‑store relationship building
- Tech‑savvy and confident using mobile platforms, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or sales is an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) is an advantage, especially in Quebec
- Hands‑on experience with Nestlé, a global food and beverage leader
