Character Licensed Footwear, Bags & Accessories

Location – Remote/ Home-based (must be in UK)

Brand International Group is a reputable and long-established supplier of licensed footwear, bags and accessories to the UK high street. We aim to be the most efficient and respected supplier of our product types in the market.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy and fast-paced design team as a full-time Designer or Senior Designer, to enhance and develop several of our key accounts. The successful candidate will create innovative and on-brand design solutions, according to the requirements of both our customers and our licensors. Alongside day-to-day account management, looking after multiple customer accounts while managing all aspects of product development. Liaising directly and between both customers/buyers and factories.

Key skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience designing footwear and/or accessories for character licence brands, and for high street retailers and grocers.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, while working remotely, providing effective design, product development and account management solutions to tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects and functions.
  • An up-to-date understanding of production methods, fabrications, applications (print, welds, embroidery, appliqué, knit techniques etc.), and the commercial constraints of use, especially for footwear, bags and accessories.
  • Creative flair and originality, as well as a strong awareness in design directions, trends and influences.
  • Excellent presentation skills, can confidently communicate ideas and designs to retail buyers.
  • A bachelor’s degree in related design subject.
  • CAD Skills, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as MS Office.
  • Sound analytical skills, for assessing sample submissions.
  • Experience working directly and on a daily basis with UK high street retail buyers would be a distinct advantage.
