Location: Clapham Junction – Hybrid (3 days in the office, Monday mandatory)

What You’ll Be Doing

As People & Culture Advisor, you’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day HR advice and support, ensuring smooth and compliant people processes across the business. This standalone role is hands-on and operational, providing trusted first-line guidance and ensuring that all HR activities run efficiently and in line with legislation and company values.

HR Administration

  • Own all day-to-day HR administration, documentation and templates across the employee lifecycle.
  • Work with our Office & Environment Manager to maintain accurate employee records and data, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Produce staff correspondence and log all HR interactions.
  • Keep Monday.com HR boards & BambooHR (HRIS) updated with staff details, policies and announcements.
  • Conduct exit interviews, record feedback and share insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the HR tracker and provide payroll information.
  • Manage and renew HR-related subscriptions and memberships.
  • Support SLT with sharing HR updates and initiatives across the business.

Policy & Compliance

  • Keep up to date with employment law changes and flag any recommended updates.
  • Maintain HR policies and procedures and ensure processes are followed consistently.
  • Monitor right-to-work documentation and audit compliance.

HR Advice & Support

  • Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers on a range of matters.
  • Advise and coach managers on policies and processes such as performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance.
  • Liaise with external HR partners for specialist advice where needed.
  • Support conflict resolution and employee wellbeing conversations.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk matters to the SLT.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from job adverts and candidate communication to offers and onboarding.
  • Prepare offer documentation, collect references, and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Deliver HR inductions and ensure new starters are welcomed effectively.

Engagement & Development

  • Gather feedback on employee benefits and initiatives.
  • Take notes at feedback sessions and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Ensure performance reviews are completed on time, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Highlight training needs and support the coordination of external training.

General

  • Attend department meetings to provide HR updates and insights.
  • Support with other HR projects or tasks as required.
