An exciting opportunity for an Indirect Tax Manager to join the Brand Addition finance team. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for VAT across our European operations, with exposure to global activity. Taking overall ownership of VAT across Brand Addition, going beyond compliance to shape how tax supports the business both commercially and operationally.
What you’ll be doing:
- As the lead on VAT across Brand Addition, you’ll play a key role in ensuring returns are accurate, positions are robust, and issues are resolved with clarity and confidence.
- You’ll be at the heart of the business, working closely with teams across finance, sales, logistics and operations, offering clear, practical guidance that makes a real difference.
- By helping teams consider tax early, you’ll enable more informed, strategic decisions and help shape outcomes that contribute to our success.
- You’ll lead and develop the indirect tax team, driving consistency and high-quality delivery, while working in close partnership with the wider Group Tax team to maintain a joined-up approach.
- With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you’ll identify risks, strengthen controls, and evolve systems and processes, supporting initiatives such as system upgrades, e-invoicing and automation.
- You’ll also manage external advisers and support VAT audits and interactions with tax authorities as required.

Who we’re looking for:
- A VAT specialist with a pragmatic, commercial approach and a strong sense of ownership, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and partnering with the business to deliver practical outcomes.
- Professionally qualified e.g. CTA, ACA or similar (CTA preferred).
- Experience in UK and EU VAT compliance, with strong technical expertise in EU VAT desirable, particularly relating to the movement of goods.
- A confident communicator who can turn complex technical issues into clear, practical guidance, working collaboratively while remaining organised, proactive and focused on systems improvement and process transformation.
- Commercially focused and highly collaborative professional, skilled at building strong internal stakeholder relationships, managing external advisers, and supporting VAT audits and engagement with tax authorities.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
- Comfortable working with data, systems and finance processes, including complex excel datasets.
