Brancaster House Financial Planning is a well-established, independent, FCA-regulated financial planning firm based in Norwich. We provide high-quality, client-focused advice to individuals and business owners and are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Administrator to lead our administrative function. This is a key, senior position within the business, ideal for someone with strong experience in an IFA or regulated financial services environment who wants responsibility, stability and a long-term career role.

Please note: this role is specifically for candidates with experience in financial planning / IFA administration. It is not suitable for general or non-regulated administration backgrounds.

The Role

  • Office-based – Norwich, Norfolk
  • Full-time, permanent (8:30am – 5:00pm)
  • £28,000 – £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience

As Senior Financial Administrator, you will be the administrative lead for the firm, working closely with the Managing Director and advisers to ensure the smooth running of the office and delivery of an excellent client experience. This role is fully office-based in the centre of Norwich and suited to someone who enjoys ownership, structure and being central to how a professional financial planning business operates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the lead administrator for the business, overseeing day-to-day administrative operations
  • Managing and improving back-office processes within an FCA-regulated IFA environment
  • Full use and oversight of the firm’s back-office system, with Intelliflo / iO, for the management of:
    • Client records and data
    • New business processing
    • Reporting and ongoing servicing
    • Workflows
  • Supporting advisers with:
    • Client onboarding and fact finds
    • New business processing and tracking
    • Provider liaison, tracking and follow-ups
    • Pre- and post-meeting administration, such as preparing valuation reports
  • Ensuring accurate maintenance of client records, valuations and documentation
  • Supporting compliance-related administration, record-keeping and audit readiness
  • Ownership of workflows, templates and system processes to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Acting as a professional and personable point of contact for clients
  • Supporting and mentoring other administrative staff as the business develops

About You

You will:

  • Have previous experience within an IFA / financial advice firm
  • Have good to advanced working knowledge of Intelliflo / iO (essential)
  • Understand regulated processes, documentation and have some compliance awareness
  • Be highly organised, accurate and detail-focused
  • Be confident in managing workloads independently and taking ownership
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Take a professional, proactive approach to client service

Senior-level administration experience within financial services is desirable.
