We pay above ‘average’ pay rates and we currently have vacancies. Reporting to the Registered Manager successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • Good communication skills
  • Reliability, flexibility and motivation to work effectively with colleagues
  • Be able to follow instructions and direction
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

Responsibilities:

  • To create a stimulating and developing activity programme to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the care home.
  • To plan, organise and co-ordinate activities for active daily living for each resident individually and in groups.
  • To plan and organise an activities programme that will maintain interest and progression over a period of time.
  • To identify the needs of the collective group and individuals and tailor the activities to suit them.
  • To assist and support carers in developing activity.
  • To encourage involvement in the local community.
  • To plan and organise external outings with appropriate transport.

Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential as all training will be given.

Details: Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, will include working odd evenings and some weekends. 30 hours per week.
