A nationally recognised public sector infrastructure organisation is expanding its procurement function and needs multiple experienced Strategic Sourcing Managers to lead high-value, over-threshold sourcing programmes. This is a great opportunity for an experienced procurement professional looking to step into a more strategic position. This role includes complex, high-value, over-threshold sourcing projects that directly shape how one of the UKβs most important infrastructure organisations operates β backed by a government-approved, multi-billion-pound investment programme running through to 2029. What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading end-to-end, over-threshold sourcing projects in a regulated procurement environment
- Developing sourcing strategies and producing full tender documentation
- Running pre-market engagement and complex commercial evaluations
- Negotiating with suppliers and delivering measurable savings
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple internal functions
- Applying working knowledge of contract law and financial management to complex sourcing challenges
- Contributing to category strategy development and continuous improvement
What You'll Need:
- Public sector procurement experience (essential)
- Recent, demonstrable over-threshold tendering experience outside of a framework (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of PCR 2015 and/or the Procurement Act 2023
- Proven negotiation and stakeholder management at a senior level
- Based within 90 minutes of Milton Keynes and able to travel to MK one day per week
