A major UK organisation is seeking a commercially focused Procurement & Supplier Relationship Lead to step into a pivotal role within their Technology Procurement team. You’ll be joining a mature procurement and supplier management function at a time of strategic focus on maximising value from existing high-value contracts, in addition to new sourcing activity. The role sits within a £100m+ technology spend landscape, focusing on services, infrastructure, and major outsourcing partnerships (notably a complex, long-term relationship with a Tier 1 supplier).
The Role
- Take ownership of commercial management and strategic supplier relationships across a critical set of tech services categories.
- Lead the commercial relationship with one of the business’s most important outsourced IT service providers.
- Manage contract performance, value delivery, and governance across legacy systems and service infrastructure.
- Partner with senior internal stakeholders in IT, procurement, and operations.
- Support the transition to an integrated commercial and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) model.
- Act as the escalation point for service performance issues and commercial negotiation.
- Collaborate with Legal on ongoing contract management and compliance.
This is a highly visible role reporting into the Head of Technology Procurement. You’ll also work closely with wider category leads across tech & indirect procurement.
Required Skills:
- Strong commercial acumen with end-to-end category ownership experience.
- Deep expertise in Tech Services procurement, particularly infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, data, and/or legacy systems.
- Proven ability to manage high-value, complex outsourced service providers.
- Strong supplier relationship and performance management capability.
- Strategic sourcing experience with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Experience in fast-paced, or low-margin sectors highly desirable.
