Hybrid Working – 2 Days per Week in Central London

The Role

As a Procurement Specialist, you will support the sourcing and management of Raw Materials spend, working closely with suppliers and stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Operations. The role offers genuine ownership of sourcing projects, giving you exposure to the full procurement lifecycle from market analysis and supplier engagement through to negotiation, contracting and supplier performance management.

While the role is focused on Raw Materials procurement, we are open to candidates from a broad range of category backgrounds. The business is looking for strong procurement fundamentals, commercial acumen and the ambition to develop into a future Procurement Manager or Category Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across Raw Materials and related spend areas
  • Support the development and implementation of category and sourcing strategies
  • Manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and competitive tender processes
  • Conduct supplier market analysis, benchmarking and commercial evaluations
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support commercial negotiations and contract implementation
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for value creation
  • Deliver cost-saving, risk mitigation and supply continuity initiatives
  • Analyse spend, supplier and market data to support decision-making
  • Contribute to procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
  • Experience managing sourcing projects and supplier relationships
  • Advanced Excel skills with confidence working with procurement data
  • SAP and Power BI experience would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, curious and solutions-focused mindset
  • Degree educated and/or studying towards CIPS

Whilst this role sits within the Raw Materials team, we are open to candidates from a variety of procurement backgrounds including direct materials, indirect procurement, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, packaging, engineering and professional services. The key requirement is a strong sourcing mindset and the desire to develop within a fast-paced procurement environment.
