A global consumer goods organisation is looking to appoint a Global Indirect Procurement Lead to further develop its indirect procurement function across Europe. This is a broad, senior role with responsibility for transforming procurement from a largely tactical function into a more strategic business partner. You will take ownership of a varied indirect spend portfolio spanning Marketing, Logistics, MRO, Professional Services, Fleet, Capex and other corporate categories, while working closely with senior stakeholders across the Global business.

The role will also lead a small procurement team, initially with two direct reports, and will play an important part in improving spend visibility, strengthening supplier management and building greater consistency across sourcing and procurement activity.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and deliver category strategies across a broad range of indirect spend
  • Lead complex sourcing programmes, supplier negotiations and contracting activity
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, efficiencies and wider commercial value
  • Build and implement stronger Supplier Relationship Management frameworks
  • Improve governance and visibility across indirect and tail spend
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain and the wider European leadership team
  • Lead and develop a small team of procurement professionals
  • Support wider procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will ideally bring:

  • Strong experience across indirect procurement and category management
  • A track record of managing complex sourcing and commercial negotiations
  • Experience operating across multiple European markets
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the credibility to influence at senior level
  • Previous experience leading or developing procurement teams
  • A background within FMCG or another fast-paced environment would be highly advantageous
  • A commercial, strategic mindset with genuine experience improving procurement capability and ways of working

The role is based in London with hybrid working, typically two days per week in the office, alongside occasional travel across Europe.

Salary: £95,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
