Are you an accomplished senior procurement professional with expertise across energy, utilities and corporate services procurement? This is a high-impact opportunity to join a globally operating, £multi-billion fortune 500 organisation, taking strategic ownership of energy & utilities procurement across global markets while supporting the delivery of ambitious Net Zero & Sustainability targets.
As Senior Global Category Manager Manager, you’ll manage a significant multi-million-pound spend covering power purchase agreement, electricity, gas, water, fuels, and renewable energy etc… You’ll lead high-value negotiations, deliver innovative sourcing solutions, and optimise complex renewable contracts.
Operating in a lean, high-performing team, this is a hands-on, individual contributor role with direct exposure to senior stakeholders globally. You’ll have the scope to influence strategic decisions, introduce new energy solutions, and deliver measurable commercial value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing and contract management of energy and utilities across global markets.
- Manage retailer agreements, renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs), and initiatives to adopt new energy sources, fuels, and processes.
- Optimise and ensure compliance on recently signed renewable contracts, maximising commercial outcomes.
- Partner with sustainability teams to deliver the company’s Net Zero goals.
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies that balance operational needs with commercial priorities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Track record in energy, utilities or corparate services procurement within a complex, multi-country environment.
- Commercially astute, with excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Leading on complex source to contract processes such as negotiation of PPA\’s (power purchase agreements).
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills with senior leadership.
- Passion for sustainability, carbon reduction, and innovative energy & utilties sourcing.
- Degree-level education; CIPS qualification desirable.
