Senior Crude Trading Operator | Physical Crude | London London, UK | Hybrid | Up to £95,000 + Bonus + Benefits A leading international energy trading business is looking to add an experienced Senior Crude Trading Operator to its London trading team. This is a front office aligned operations position supporting physical crude traders and taking responsibility for cargo execution across the North Sea and international markets . Direct physical crude oil operations experience and hands on North Sea crude exposure are required for this position. The Role • Take ownership of physical crude cargoes from trade confirmation through to final delivery. • Manage voyage orders, documentary instructions, vessel nominations, Letters of Credit, cargo insurance, date and quantity nominations and vessel clearances. • Manage and optimise physical operations across the North Sea crude portfolio , including equity, third party and traded cargoes. • Support the operational and contractual execution of BFOE/BFOETM activities. • Coordinate directly with crude traders, shipping, terminals, refineries, inspection companies and counterparties. • Act as a key operational contact for terminals regarding loading programmes and cargo nominations. • Work alongside scheduling, credit, middle office, back office, insurance, legal, finance and contracts teams. • Identify and resolve operational issues while minimising demurrage, deviation, dead freight and other commercial costs. What We're Looking For • Proven experience operating physical crude oil cargoes within an oil major, commodity trading house or similar trading environment. • Direct North Sea crude operations experience . • Experience managing physical crude cargoes throughout the full operational lifecycle. • Knowledge of BFOE/BFOETM , lifting agreements and spot and term crude contracts is highly desirable. • Hands on experience with nominations, voyage orders, Bills of Lading, inspections, Letters of Credit, cargo insurance and vessel clearances. • Understanding of trading and shipping operations, including cargoes, voyage charters, time charters and quality and quantity controls. • Comfortable working directly with traders in a fast paced, commercially focused environment.
