A leading UK infrastructure and construction organisation is looking for an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to join its Major Projects team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of strategic supply chain activities across the full project lifecycle, from early bid development and supplier engagement through to contract award, mobilisation and delivery.

You'll play a key role in securing strategic supplier partnerships, shaping commercial solutions and ensuring supply chain strategies support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects. Working closely with commercial, technical and project leadership teams, you'll have the opportunity to influence major project decisions from the outset, drive supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness, manage risk and deliver long-term value.

As a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, you will:

  • Shape End-to-End Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects, ensuring supplier capability and commercial objectives remain aligned at every stage.
  • Drive Early Supplier Engagement: Build relationships with strategic suppliers and subcontractors, securing early commitments and market insight to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Lead Strategic Supplier Relationships: Develop key supplier partnerships, implement performance management frameworks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Influence Major Project Solutions: Work closely with commercial, technical and project teams to shape sourcing and packaging strategies, contributing to pricing and supporting early contractor involvement.
  • Drive Commercial Performance & Governance: Oversee supply chain readiness, manage procurement risks and champion best practice across sourcing and contract management.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Construction & Major Projects Experience: A strong background in construction procurement or supply chain management, with demonstrable exposure to complex infrastructure or major projects.
  • NEC Contract Expertise: Practical experience working with NEC contracts, with a good understanding of contractual frameworks, supplier obligations and commercial risk management.
  • Strategic Supply Chain Management: Experience developing supply chain strategies, leading early supplier engagement and delivering commercially effective sourcing solutions.
  • Commercial & Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
  • Analytical Skills & Qualifications: A commercially minded, results-driven approach with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. MCIPS or working towards CIPS would be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established construction procurement or supply chain professional looking to take on a more strategic position within a major projects environment.

Interested? If you're experienced in construction supply chains, confident working with NEC contracts and looking to play a key role in the success of major projects, we'd welcome a conversation.
