About the Role

As a purchasing specialist, you will play a key role in shaping procurement operations within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will lead supplier performance initiatives, drive process improvements, and support team development. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities across designated categories
  • Manage supplier relationships, lead times, pricing strategies, and performance tracking
  • Drive forecasting and demand planning alongside commercial and sales teams
  • Contribute to pricing reviews and KPI reporting for leadership
  • Champion process improvements and ensure compliance with internal standards
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting growth and succession planning
  • Support ERP database accuracy and procurement system development
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training

  • Proven experience in a purchasing, Buyer or Senior Buyer role
  • CIPS Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards it
  • Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
