A unique greenfield opportunity has arisen for an esteemed procurement professional to join a highly innovative manufacturer based in the heart of Leicestershire. Due to consistent growth and expansion, this ever evolving and high performing manufacturer look to bolster their procurement function within the addition of a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for driving commercial success and improvements across the purchasing department. The successful candidate will acquire responsibility for the strategic management of a diverse range of spend across both direct and indirect procurement.
As the largest manufacturer in their specialist area, they seek a Procurement Manager to help them commercially navigate a changing industry landscape by driving cost savings, positively influencing internal transformation and helping to nurture / manager their internal purchasing talent. The successful candidate will possess strong procurement experience in the manufacturing industry and will be tasked with driving both strategic and operational improvements across procurement by managing a team and striving to achieve commercial success during an exciting period of growth.

Required Background:
- Strong procurement experience and a background of working in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to both engage and influence stakeholders during an exciting period of change and transformation.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to achieve cost savings.
- Experience across both direct and indirect spend preferable but not essential.
- Experience or ability to manage / mentor a team of junior purchasing / stock control professionals.
