Job Description

Procurement Commercial Lead – Nuclear Industry – east Anglia – £90,000-£100,000 + car allowance + bonus + strong package (up to 15% employer pension contribution, 8x life assurance)

This once-in-a-generation infrastructure project that will play a vital role in Britain’s energy future are expanding their Procurement Commercial team – and looking for several experienced Senior Commercial Leads to join as they enter a critical phase of delivery.

As Commercial Lead, you’ll take ownership of some of the most significant and complex commercial packages on the project, covering everything from civil and nuclear construction works, to major equipment and enabling contracts.

You’ll lead on all aspects of procurement, negotiation, and post-award commercial management, working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, regulators, and Tier 1 contractors.

Procurement Commercial Lead role responsibilities:

  • Leading complex procurement activity across your portfolio
  • Managing competitive tendering, contract negotiation and award
  • Managing supplier relationships and performance
  • Ensuring contract governance and change control
  • Building and leading a high-performing commercial team
  • Acting as a key interface with regulators, government, and delivery partners
  • Embedding collaboration and best practice across the supply chain

Procurement Commercial Lead must have experience:

  • Senior-level experience in commercial or supply chain roles within major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Proven success in both procurement and contract management
  • Excellent knowledge of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts
  • Confident stakeholder manager with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Chartered status with RICS, ICE, CICES, IOB (or equivalent)
  • Degree-qualified
  • Experience in nuclear or regulated industries is beneficial
  • Previous people management is also beneficial
