Procurement Buyer – Milton Keynes – £35,000 + Package

This growing firm are keen to expand their procurement team and as a result are seeking a passionate and dynamic Procurement Buyer to make their mark on this company. The selected candidate will receive in-depth training from the Procurement Director.

Procurement Buyer Role Overview:

  • Own and manage a number of preferred supplier agreements, both pre and post contract award including implementation of service and on-going service review involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Validate all CPS requisitions received to ensure requestors have complied with Buying Rules. Liaise with requestor where additional information is required
  • Organise and administer external supplier reviews, and internal focus groups with stakeholders to review categories, or specific preferred supplier agreements.
  • Provide cover for Group Buyers during periods of absence.
  • Undertake of a number of sourcing opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for a managing a category and areas of spend.

Procurement Buyer Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within Procurement and/or Third Party Management
  • Highly organised and able to effectively prioritise competing demands, deliver according to committed timelines and work on own initiative
  • Highly computer literate, including advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
