LEADING BOUTIQUE PROCUREMENT CONSULTANCY
HOME-BASED CONTRACT (OCCASIONAL CLIENT TRAVEL) – MUST BE BASED IN THE UK
£65,000 - £75,000 + 10% BONUS

With a broad range of clients across both the public and private sector, this is a chance for an ambitious senior procurement consultant to step up into a principal consultant role that will be incredibly varied and give them excellent exposure to managing clients and project teams.
Principal Indirect Procurement Consultant, Role Responsibilities :-
- Autonomously lead on client delivery engagements, taking responsibility over a team of consultants/ senior consultants to create & implement innovative procurement strategies
- Operate across a broad range of public and private sector clients, giving you excellent exposure across a wide range of industries and functions
- Start to get involved in business development – this is not targeted at this level but the organisation gives you the freedom to bring in work and be rewarded for it unlike many of the larger consultancies
- Support the development of consultants/ senior consultants within the business
Principal Indirect Procurement Consultant, Required Background: -
At Principal Consultant level, this organisation require prior procurement consultancy experience, this could be gained at either one of the Big 4 or at a boutique/mid-sized procurement consultancy
- You will need experience building out procurement strategy and delivering cost savings across a range of indirect procurement categories, ideally having had some exposure to Professional Services procurement
- You will also need to be somewhat industry agnostic, being open to lead on projects across both public and private sector. Any prior exposure to public sector procurement or the Procurement Act is beneficial but not essential
- Exposure to the Transport or Engineering industries is very beneficial
- Most importantly, you will need to be able to evidence your strong delivery in previous role(s) by showcasing savings on your CV, whilst also emphasising your ability to think outside of the box rather than just follow process.
