  • Lead early market engagement to assess supplier capability, capacity, innovation and delivery readiness.

  • Partner with commercial, engineering and project teams to integrate supply chain strategy into competitive bid solutions.
  • Facilitate Early Contractor Involvement with key supply chain partners.
  • Identify supply chain risks, opportunities and potential constraints, developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Provide senior stakeholders with clear reporting on supply chain readiness, risk and market opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate procurement governance, compliance and best practice is embedded across supply chain activities.

Required Experience:

  • Strong experience within procurement or supply chain management across construction, infrastructure, engineering or major projects.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic sourcing or supply chain strategies.
  • Strong supplier engagement and relationship management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence commercial, technical and operational teams.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience supporting major bids, pre-construction activity or project mobilisation would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to major public sector infrastructure programmes or clients would be beneficial.
  • Degree, MCIPS qualification or progress towards CIPS is desirable but not essential.
