Global commodity trading house seeks an experienced CTRM Lead Business Analyst / Functional Architect to join their Metals Trading business on an initial 6 or 12 month contract basis, based from their London or Geneva offices. Joining at the very start of this Greenfield Metals Aspect CTRM implementation program, this is a strategic leadership role that also requires deep functional CTRM expertise and the ability to engage hands-on where it matters.
The role:
- The successful CTRM Lead Business Analyst / Functional Architect (contractor) will lead the business analysis stream of a Metals CTRM implementation program.
- This is a hybrid role that combines strategic oversight of all business analysis activities with hands-on ownership of requirements gathering and solution design for the Front and Middle Office domains.
- You will be responsible for defining the end-to-end functional architecture across the CTRM landscape, ensuring all business requirements are captured, validated and translated into fit-for-purpose system functionality.
- Acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will drive alignment on solution scope, integration needs, reporting requirements and compliance obligations.
- In addition to setting the direction and framework for business analysis across the program, you will directly lead the analysis efforts for Front Office and Middle Office workstreams, working closely with traders, schedulers, risk managers and operations teams.
Location: This is in either London or Geneva based role. This role is a flexi working role with 3 days in either office and 2 days working from home, although you can work 5 days per week from either office if preferred.
Key skills & experience sought:
- 10 years+ deep physical commodity trading experience (Metals, Oil, LNG, Ags etc) but ideally specific Concentrates or broader Metals Trading experience, working as a Senior or Lead CTRM Business Analyst for either another commodity trading firm or for a consultancy working on-site at commodity trading firms.
- Front to Back Office experience but ideally strong in Front & Middle Office.
- This is a Functional CTRM role, but any techy skills in SQL, Python would be nice to have.
- You could have worked on any external CTRM system including Aspect, Allegro, Endur, RightAngle, Entrader, CXL etc.
- Fantastic senior stakeholder management skills.
- The ideal candidate will have specific Metals Trading experience in Concentrates as well as Aspect CTRM knowledge.
- Typically degree educated.
