Are you an experienced FM procurement professional looking for a senior role where you can take ownership, influence strategy and drive commercial performance? A leading international organisation specialising in food services and facilities management is looking to appoint an experienced FM Category Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of Facilities Management categories across the UK and Ireland.

With a primary focus on Hard FM, alongside responsibility across Soft Services, this is an opportunity to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships and deliver meaningful commercial improvements across a complex, multi-site environment. Working within an established Supply Management function, you will have the autonomy to develop and implement category strategies, collaborate with global procurement teams and influence key business decisions.

This is a senior position offering significant exposure to regional and international stakeholders, with the opportunity to drive innovation, improve profitability and contribute to wider procurement objectives.

As a Category Manager, you will:

  • Lead Category Strategy: Take ownership of strategic sourcing plans across Hard and Soft FM categories, with the opportunity to shape regional strategies, influence global procurement decisions and drive improvements across a diverse portfolio.
  • Drive Commercial Performance: Identify opportunities to generate savings, optimise supplier agreements and negotiate competitive pricing, giving you the scope to make a measurable impact on profitability and wider business performance.
  • Manage Strategic Supplier Relationships: Develop a strong regional supplier network, build valuable partnerships and work with suppliers to unlock innovation, improve service delivery and enhance overall category performance.
  • Influence Stakeholders: Work closely with senior stakeholders, operational teams and global procurement colleagues, building relationships across an international business and gaining valuable exposure to regional and global decision-making.
  • Champion Innovation and Sustainability: Challenge existing ways of working, introduce innovative sourcing solutions and drive responsible procurement initiatives, allowing you to influence long-term strategy while contributing to wider business objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Category Management Experience: A proven background in strategic sourcing and category management, ideally within FM procurement, with the ability to independently manage complex categories and deliver tangible commercial results.
  • Hard & Soft FM Knowledge: A good understanding of both Hard and Soft FM goods and services, with particular strength in Hard FM. Experience across areas such as building maintenance, electrical services, lifts, fire and security, cleaning, waste management or security would be advantageous.
  • Commercial and Negotiation Skills: A strong track record of supplier negotiations, contract management and identifying opportunities to improve profitability, leverage spend and secure competitive commercial agreements.
  • Stakeholder Management and Influence: The confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels, communicate effectively and influence decisions within a complex, international and matrix-based environment.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong financial acumen, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives while maintaining a clear focus on results, quality and risk management.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional to take ownership of a broad FM portfolio, influence regional and global category strategies and make a genuine impact within a leading international business. Offering remote working alongside a competitive salary and bonus, this role provides the scope to develop your expertise, strengthen your commercial influence and take your career forward.
