A leading global asset-backed energy and commodity trading house is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their London team, working across Oil, Gas, LNG, Power, and Biofuels. This is a technology transformation role - you will be working on a range of IT programmes including an immediate global cloud transformation project. You will also gain exposure to Openlink Endur as part of the wider portfolio, though this is not an ETRM role. Based in Central London with a 3 days in office, 2 days remote working pattern.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and support technology transformation programmes across a global trading business, with a primary focus on cloud migration.
- Translate complex business and trading requirements into clear, actionable outcomes for IT and development teams.
- Maintain a holistic, end-to-end view of the application landscape, managing dependencies and trade-offs across projects.
- Work closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Back Office stakeholders across London, Singapore, and Houston.
- Drive cloud-native and data-driven solutions, balancing operational stability with transformation objectives.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within an energy or commodity trading environment.
- Strong background in Oil, Gas, LNG, Power, or Biofuels trading - either in-house or from a consultancy.
- Technology or digital transformation experience is essential - this is not a pure ETRM role.
- Exposure to ETRM or trading platforms is a bonus but not a requirement - the focus is on transformation delivery.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable influencing at senior level across business and IT.
- Degree educated, ideally in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
- Visa sponsorship is available for exceptional candidates.
