Procurement Operations & Excellence Manager

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global market-leading organisation undergoing one of the largest Procurement Transformation programmes in its history.

As part of the Procurement Operations & Excellence team, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement, enhancing procurement processes and embedding best practices across a global procurement function.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape the future operating model, optimise performance and ensure Procurement is recognised as a strategic business partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the global function.
  • Develop and enhance procurement processes, policies and governance frameworks.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of procurement tools, systems and digital solutions.
  • Design and monitor KPIs, dashboards and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and value delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to embed best practice and new ways of working.
  • Support operating model enhancements and broader procurement transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement operations, procurement excellence or continuous improvement within a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, governance and performance management.
  • Experience leading change and influencing stakeholders within matrixed environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Exposure to procurement technology and Source-to-Pay platforms such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba or Oracle is advantageous.
  • A degree is essential; CIPS or Lean Six Sigma qualifications are beneficial.
